WARRANTY - EATON UNINTERRUPTIBLE POWER SUPPLY (UPS)

 

Ansa Systems Limited, Authorized Service Provider and Distributor of Eaton Powerware Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) in Ghana (hereinafter called the "Supplier") hereby grants warranty to ……………………………………. (the original “End-User”) and cannot be transferred. The warrantor warrants that the Eaton Powerware UPS and Eaton-built accessories are free from defects in, materials and workmanship for a period of twelve (12) calendar months starting from the date of delivery to the End-User/Purchaser. The warrantor further warrants that the equipment supplied form part of the manufacturer’s current product line and that there is no intention of discontinuing their production within 24 months following contract signature.

 

In the event a warranted item is found defective in materials or workmanship within the twelve (12) month warranty period, the warrantor shall repair or replace the said warranted item at no extra cost to the End-User/Purchaser. Repair or replacement during the warranty period does not extend the original warranty.

 

This warranty does not cover any defects or damages caused by: (a) failure to properly store the product as specified by the manufacturer before installation, including the “trickle charge” of batteries no later than the date indicated on the packaging; (b) failure to abide by the manufactures operating ambient conditions specified in the documentation delivered with the unit and other relevant documentation, (c) accident, fire, flood, lightning, vandalism, acts of God, customer’s negligence, abuse, misuse, misapplication and incorrect installation.

 

This warranty is not valid unless: (a) an authorized, trained and qualified personnel from Ansa Systems Limited (ASL) performs installation inspection and start-up (commissioning) of the product; (b) service and maintenance of the UPS is performed by ASL trained personnel (c) re-location of the product is performed only by authorized ASL personnel.

 

Batteries are warranted against failures in materials and workmanship, not against the normal ageing and reduction of ampere-hour capacity. The product storage environment has to meet the manufacturer’s specifications. Failure to do so will cause the warranty to be voided.

 

In no event shall ASL be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages of any kind or type whatsoever, or based on any claim or cause of action, however, denominated. ASL shall not be responsible for failure to provide service or parts due to causes beyond ASL’s reasonable control. In no case will ASL’s liability under this warranty exceed the replacement value of the warranted parts or components.
